  • A Longmont man critically injured after a May 22 shootout with a Longmont police officer is being held in a secure hospital unit for jail inmates and state prisoners, but he has not been arrested or charged in the shooting, according to police. Jonathan Shank was shot three times during an exchange of gunfire with Longmont Police Officer Brent Cairns on May 22 after Cairns stopped Shank's car on suspicion of a traffic violation (Times Call)
  • Xcel Energy earned more than its regulated return in Colorado in 2012 and as a result is proposing to return $8.2 million to customers, the company said Thursday. (Daily Camera)
